About Indi Studio

We Don’t Just Teach Pottery — We Create Meaningful Experiences.

InDiStudio is an experimental pottery studio in Washington Crossing where clay is the starting point for exploring, connecting and trying something new. We collaborate with local companies to create unexpected workshops and tailor corporate experiences around your team. Bring your people, your curiosity, or an idea you've been sitting on. Let's see what we can make of it.

Create, connect, and leave better than you came.

Studio Supervisor

Donna (Fish)

Donna wasn't hired-she assumed the position.

She oversees studio morale, welcomes new artists, inspects works in progress, and reminds everyone that perfection is overrated, but confidence never is.

Her daily responsibilities include looking fabulous, judging the quality of everyone's pottery (with love, of course), and encouraging every guest to "Treat Yo' Self".

If you stop by, be sure to say hello. She already knows She's Fabulous.

Founder

Dyan

Twenty years ago, I started InDi Studio with one rule: I wouldn't open a studio until I found the right space.

That decision took me on a pretty incredible journey. I taught pottery everywhere except inside my own building.

Along the way, art school, interior design, and working at Anthropologie shaped how I see the world. I fell in love with unique spaces, pottery, history, nature, and the little details that make people stop and look twice. I've always believed that where you create is just as important as what you create.

Then I found " THE BUILDING".

Now I finally have the place I'd been waiting for.

InDi Studio isn't just somewhere to make pottery. It's a space to gather, create, laugh a little, slow down, and leave feeling just a bit more inspired than you walked in.

Come for the clay. Stay because you accidentally found your people.

Instructor · Jewelry & Fine Arts

Ava

I’m Ava, a Jewelry and Fine Arts student at Tyler School of Art and Design. My volunteer work at InDi Studio during middle school, particularly with children’s camps, has honed my technical abilities and patience. This allows me to create a welcoming classroom atmosphere for students of all skill levels.

Jewelry making is my true passion, and I feel fortunate to utilize cutting-edge facilities while collaborating with InDi Studio. Next year, I eagerly anticipate furthering my art studies in Europe.

Instructor · Sculpture

Janet

I have been instructing classes with InDi Studio since 2021, after taking a class with Dyan to get back into creating art in a medium in which I didn’t think I thrived. I fell back in love with clay and specialize in sculpture. I have a Baccalaureate degree in Fine Arts from Moore College of Art and Design, and I work for Upper Dublin School District as an educational assistant.

In my free time, I enjoy going on adventures with my daughter. We spend a lot of time at the beach, where we collect shells for different art projects. When I’m not on a hike or at the beach, I’m busy experimenting with different mediums. Being able to explore and share knowledge with others is a great joy — it’s what makes working with Dyan and InDi Studio a highlight of my year.
