The Hands Behind the Clay.

Dyan
Founder & CEO

Dyan

Hello, I’m Dyan, the founder and CEO of InDi Studio. After studying at Moore College and earning an Art Education degree from Temple University, I ventured into teaching adult pottery classes with minimal experience. Driven by a fearless spirit and a passion for original designs, I challenged the notion that pottery can’t be mobile. InDi Studio has since pioneered a unique approach, collaborating with 19 local parks and recreation departments to offer a variety of creative workshops, including pottery, jewelry making, terrariums, and wall installations.

Our innovative journey has led us to create custom dog bowls for Urban Outfitters’ staff and floral cheese platters with clay at Longwood Gardens. We specialize in creating unparalleled designs and experiences, now including exclusive packages for elite resorts and boutique hotels. Away from work, I’m a weightlifting enthusiast and enjoy playful banter with my teenage daughters about my age.

Ava

I’m Ava, a Jewelry and Fine Arts student at Tyler School of Art and Design. My volunteer work at InDi Studio during middle school, particularly with children’s camps, has honed my technical abilities and patience. This allows me to create a welcoming classroom atmosphere for students of all skill levels.

Jewelry making is my true passion, and I feel fortunate to utilize cutting-edge facilities while collaborating with InDi Studio. Next year, I eagerly anticipate furthering my art studies in Europe.

Janet

I have been instructing classes with InDi Studio for the last 2 years, after taking a class with Dyan to get back into creating art in a medium in which I didn’t think I thrived. I fell back in love with clay and specialize in sculpture. I have a Baccalaureate degree in Fine Arts from Moore College of Art and Design, and I work for Upper Dublin school district as an educational assistant.

In my free time I enjoy going on adventures with my daughter. We spend a lot of time at the beach, where we collect shells for different art projects. When I’m not on a hike or at the beach, I’m busy experimenting with different mediums. Being able to explore and share knowledge with others is a great joy — it’s what makes working with Dyan and InDi Studio a highlight of my year.
